DAY 3 - PUERTO NATALES

Breakfast at the hotel. Pick-up at your hotel and transfer to the port. Full day expedition, to discover the Serrano and Balmaceda Glaciers. This fjord crossing will take you towards the top of the Balmaceda (2035m), at the bottom of which it seems as if a huge waterfall froze thousands of years ago: this is the Balmaceda Glacier. It is quite impressive to listen to the cracking ice, which breaks off and falls into the otherwise calm motionless fjord. The landscape is a unique mix of green areas, covering the hills and mountains, and of turquoise water that seems to blend into the impressive glaciers. During the cruise, you will be able to see sea lions and cormorants. You will then be able to stop and get off of the boat for a short 1km walk, across a forest of native trees, to reach the bottom of the Serrano Glacier, and appreciate this magnificent work of nature.
Note: This excursion may be cancelled in case of bad weather
Typical lunch in the Estancia Perales. Return to Puerto Natales through the Ultima Esperanza Fjord.
Dinner in a local restaurant. Night at the hotel.

DAY 4 - PUERTO NATALES

Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Full-day excursion to the Torres del Paine National Park.
Visit the Mylodon Cave on the way which is an extinct genus of giant ground sloths, that lived in this region about 10.000 years ago. Its long tail would act as its third foot, to allow it to stand tall on its two hind feet and reach the higher leaves at the top of the trees.
Arrival at the Torres del Paine National Park located between the Andean Cordillera and the Patagonian Steppe, and gets its name from 3 granite spires: Las Torres (the Towers). The park is home to four different vegetation zones: Patagonian steppe, Pre-Andean shrubland, Magellanic subpolar forests, and the Andean desert – throughout which you will find unique landscapes, with turquoise lakes, lagoons, waterfalls and impressive glaciers.

Lunch in a hostel in the park. Tour around the park, during which you will observe the spectacular and unique landscapes. Stop at the different lookouts, from where you have panoramic views of the Paine mountain range, or of the Paine Horns (Los Cuernos)
Return to your hotel in Puerto Natales. Dinner in a local restaurant. Night in Puerto Natales.
