You start the day by a little transfer to the Chincherro little town, located on the same named highland. Your vehicle passes by the Piuray laguna to bring you to the beginning of the of the inca path leading to Huchuy Qosqo. Our team unloads the bike while you can see several andean summits reflecting on the surface of the laguna. After a short reminder of the security instructions, you start riding up. The trail changes often between dirt and rocks as you ascend to a pass located at 14 435 feet above sea level. This is the highest point of the route, marked by « »apachetas » », sort of mounds build to guide the travellers. The view is stunning on a part of the andean cordillera and on the track that you will follow to reach Huchuy Qosqo. After a half hour of downhill you arrive on the site, remains of an inca fortress used by the spanish invasors as a food storage. According to the time of the end of the visit, it’s possible to have lunch near the inca site.
