DAY 1 - LIMAArrival at the Lima international airport and transfer to your hotel located in the Miraflores center. Evening at leisure and dinner at the Huca Pucllana gastronomic restaurant. Your hotel is close to many restaurants. DAY 2 - LIMAGet an introduction on pre-inca and inca cultures at the marvelous Larco Herrera Museum before discovering the colonial and modern city of Lima. Rest a bit before a special night at Gastón Acurio world famous Chef, Astrid y Gastón restaurant. DAY 3 - LIMA / CUSCO / SACRED VALLEYTransfer to Lima airport for your domestic flight to Cusco. Transfer to Pisac in the Sacred Valley to dive into Pisac colorful art craft market and its archeological site. Short transfer to Hacienda Sarapampa where you will get a detailed introduction on the corn culture in a lovely set up. DAY 4 - SACRED VALLEY / AGUAS CALIENTES2 incredible sites being Moray agricultural terraces and Maras salt ponds before boarding your train to Aguas Calientes at the bottom of Machu Pichu and get ready for an early start the next morning with one of the hotel activity. DAY 5 - AGUAS CALIENTES / MACHU PICCHU / AGUAS CALIENTESEarly start to either walk through the orchid garden to observe some of the hotel’s 372 different orchids in bloom or try to spot some of the 16 different hummingbirds identified on the hotel grounds. After the crowd in the afternoon, take the shuttle to enjoy the Machu Picchu citadel and the sunset. DAY 9 - AGUAS CALIENTES / CUSCOTransfer by train to Ollantaytambo, then by car to Cusco. Get an insight of the ancient Inca capital, and surely one of the most charming Peruvian city by visiting the Sun Temple also called Qoricancha, the cathedral and the surrounding ruins including the most famous one, still home of the unique Sun Festival (Inti Raymi): Sacsayhuaman. Afternoon at leisure to keep on exploring Cusco: San Pedro’s market, San Blas district, museums and picture session on Plaza de Armas. DAY 7 - CUSCOAfter a week in Peru you should be ready for your Marcelo Batata Cooking lesson where you will learn how to master the main Peruvian dishes. DAY 8 - CUSCO / LIMA / DEPARTURETransfer to Cusco airport for your domestic flight to Lima. Farewell lunch at either Central run by Virgilio Martinez, who won the World’s Best Chef Award this year or at Maido restaurant, #8 of the World Travel Awards Top 50 ranking, for a delightful and refined Japanese and Peruvian fusion. Transfer to Lima airport for your international flight.
