Early morning departure from Cusco to be driven to the Chillca community, where the trail for vehicles stops. Along the way the vehicle will make a stop in the Checacupe town, where you can see the colonial church and the rebuild inca bridge. It is at the end of the trail that the bikes are loaded on horses and you start ascending to the Vinicunca Pass, the quechua name for the rainbow mountain, following a way meandering between lamas and alpacas herds. As you walk up, the Ausangate appears, majestic summit culminating at 20 905 feet, dominating every nearby valleys. A bit before you arrive at the pass the bikes are unloaded and you push them on the last few feet of the ascent. You eventually arrive at the rainbow mountain, at 16 400 feet, where you can take a break to resplenish your strentgh and observe the green and ochre shades brought by nature on this site. To allow you to go up with tranquility to the mirador giving the best view of the rainbow mountain, the bikes will remain at the pass with your guide.
