You start the tour by a drive to the Málaga pass, at 14 160 feet, marking the split between the andean valley of Ollantaytambo and the lush mountain slopes sustaining the road leading to Quillabamba. At your arrival at the pass, after a brief reminder of the security instructions, you start riding down on the road. Several watchpoints allow you to make breaks and note the contrast between the sub-tropical vegetation that spreads across the valley and the snowy top of the Veronica mountain that dominates it. As you ride down, you link large curves and straight lines as you enjoy the downway slope to effortlessly handle your speed and focus on the best trajectory. You use the same road as all the vehicles going through the Málaga pass, but an alert mind is all you need to clamly ride down.
